How long have you been doing CrossFit and how did you get started?

I have been doing Crossfit since 2013. I originally started as a training tool for Hockey to gain more explosive strength that I could take into my sport. I then started to get hooked through the competitive drive, and the way I was able to push myself, and watch others push around me.

  • Finishing Bachelor degree from Oakland University in: Wellness, Health Promotion, and Injury Prevention with a minor in Exercise Science
  • Junior A hockey in Wyoming (2 years), and Sarnia Ontario (1 year)
  • College Hockey at Oakland University in Rochester Michigan

 

Favorite WOD and why?

FRAN… It’s a very humbling workout, and fast… you have a choice to both grind it out and make it hurt, or sit back and settle for less than what you’re capable of.

 

Favorite thing about coaching and what is my style?

y favorite thing about coaching is watching people learn to move well and meet their goals. There’s not a better feeling than to watch your everyday person get their first pull-up, or muscle up, or run a mile without stopping to walk. Part of it stems from the coach, and the other is the will power we teach each athlete, to push them selves and attain their goals daily. My coaching style is well-rounded and FUN. Coming to my class there is a balance of laughter, focus, and learning. It’s my hour to relay my knowledge to my athletes, and help them get to where they want to go.

 

Are you available for personal training or available if I have questions?

I provide program that will create ways to capture goals that you may set for yourself. Whether they are personal goals from losing weight, gaining strength, or just changing your lifestyle- to athletic goals such as increasing: speed, endurance, focus, balance, and power, we will come up with a strategic plan to meet these goals, and increase your way of life, athletically and day-to-day.
